Saumarez Park Playground
After 20 years, Saumarez Park Playground underwent a radical and exciting makeover. To help reach the £500,000 goal to complete all phases, a charity ‘The Friends of Saumarez Park Playground’ was launched in June 2013. The aim being to raise funds for the most amazing adventure playground Guernsey has ever seen, with the latest equipment the industry has to offer. The central attraction of the park is a giant wooden pirate ship with slides, ropes and various levels in symbolic representation to Admiral Lord de Saumarez’s achievements, to be enjoyed by kids of all ages.
Zef Eisenberg came on board as chairman to project manage the build, alongside the committee, with the latest in outdoor adult exercise apparatus also added, to encourage families to play and exercise together.
